Thanks to the extremely small and compact fingerprint template generated by TSSI's patented algortithm, we can offer a wide range of solutions in which the fingerprint template is stored on a card rather than in the unit or a central database.

Template stored on HID iCLASS™

The Verid+iCLASS reader has an integrated iCLASS reader that supports HID's 13.56MHz read/write contactless smart card technology. The Verid+ unit can perform verification and enrollment, thus enabling users to integrate fingerprint biometrics identification into a variety of applications including access control, time and attendance and photo ID security. Our software tools can help with template management and distribution over LAN / WAN and the internet.

iCLASS users now have the option of storing the cardholder's fingerprint biometric templates on the iCLASS card rather than in the system database, making it suitable for immediate use at multiple sites, regardless of where the holder was originally enrolled. No central database or network of fingerprint reader units are required and Verid+'s small template allows:

2 fingerprint templates on a 2k2 iCLASS card; or
10 fingerprint templates on a 16k2 card.

Template stored on magnetic stripe

The small fingerprint template can be stored on track 3 of a magnetic stripe card. TSSI is the only fingerprint technology that is compact enought to be stored on an ISO compatible track. HiCo or LoCo cards can be used and the magnetic stripe reader interfaces easily into the Verid+ unit. Template stored in 2-D barcode

The small fingerprint template can be stored inside a 2-D barcode which can itself be printed onto a wide range of ID cards, paper tickets, documents etc. In some applications, the fingerprint template is encrypted with personal details (e.g. name, date-of-birth etc.) for additional security.
