Validate is designed to be used by Universities, HR, Banks & Financial
Institutions and any other organisation that needs to be able to quickly scan, verify and store an
individuals ID documents exceeding both Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Employee (KYE)
compliance. Comprising powerful software, document readers and a database to store the copies of
the articles scanned. The software is designed to carry out security checks including reading the
Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) and RFID chip, checks the document expiry date whilst also . The
document reader checks for the presence of the security features using a variety of light sources
using UV, IR, White and Coaxial lighting.

Why Validate?
In response to the need to positively identify people coming to
work and study in the UK introduced by the various Immigration Acts in the last decade, TSSI has
developed a suite of systems designed to take the headache out of compliance.
Employers are legally obliged to check the entitlement to work in the UK of their existing
and future staff you could face a civil penalty, fine (up to
£10,000 per individual) and/ or a criminal conviction if you
are found to be knowingly employing an illegal migrant worker.
One facet of these employment checks is ensuring that any ID
documents (passports, driving licenses, Visa documents or ID cards) presented are in fact the
genuine artefact.
Our system uses a 3M state-of-the-art scanner combined with TSSI software to:

Examine document security features under UV, IR, white and coaxial light

Identify the scanned document against a database of [how many] different
types

Confirms with the user the type of document being scanned

Simply tells the user if the scanned document is bona-fide

Reads the image held on the RFID chip and displays to the user for manual
comparison

Reads and displays information from Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) on passports and
visas

Stores MRZ and scanned image to own database

Interfaces with student record system to allow all records to be compiled
centrally

Simple reporting tool to easily search stored database of scanned documents
Applications
Validate is designed to be used by Universities, HR, Banks & Financial

any organisations who is recruiting staff from overseas and therefore legally obliged to adhere to
