The 7004 reader
range is designed to capture
information and images from a range of Machine Readable Travel Documents (MRTD) including the
latest ePassports. The unit will read ID-1, ID-2, ID-3 and other MRTDs that conform to ICAO
and ISO standards. Comprehensive authentication checks are also performed on the document to ensure
it is genuine.
Comprehensive software analysis
All images are stored and the software supplied allows data from the visual zone, MRZ and
(optionally) RFID-tag to be read and cross-verified. Integration with existing systems is
straightforward; the unit can be supplied with an SDK to enable captured data to be seamlessly
merged into existing systems. An optional database of example genuine documents can be used as a
further check.
