Authenticating paper documents

The handheld readers are designed to be used with TSSI's DeedMark technology. The battery powered units have an LCD number display and can be directly linked to a PC via a standard cable. To verify a DeedMark fouil as genuine, the reader is simply moved over the DeedMark foil. The unit will firstly check the authenticity of the foil to ensure it is a genuine DeedMark feature before then decoding the data to give a number.  The unit is supplied with a cable that links directly to a PC and can also be used to power the unit.

The unit is ergonomically designed and can be used by left and right handed people.  The LCD display can also be customised to display specific messages when certain number(s) are read, so for example, the DeedMark number "1234567" can be displayed as "Valid in 2007 ONLY".
