Reading Watermark magnetics - technology for
protecting plastic cards

The WaterMark® swipe reader authenticates magnetic plastic cards using WaterMark Magnetics
technology.
The reader is designed for use with magnetic plastic cards in applications such as access
control, ID card management and time and attendance monitoring.
A variety of WaterMark card formats can be read without changing the reader and the data output
in a number of modes: ISO track 2, RS232 and TSSI's own WaterMark format.

Programming cards are used to set up the reader with its status shown by an integral LED.
The reader's electronics are contained within a single, surface-mounted housing, secured by two
front fixing screws. An optional buzzer version can be supplied to give an audible indication
of the system status.
